The wondrous steep slope vineyards around the Laxia Mountain, near our Farmakas village, are more than 100 years old and grown naturally, with minimum human interference. Vinea Ardua from the Latin meaning grapevine and steep. The indigenous red variety Mavro is dominant in the area. Aeoneo (from the Greek αιώνιο – eonio meaning eternal) is our red wine produced solely from selected age-old vine grapes grown organically. It is vinified in traditional clay pots (pitharia) and remains for 6 months in oak barrels. Bottled without stabilization or filtering.
